I've been a fashion handbag addict since I was like16 year old, and I’m grateful that my day job as a marketing coordinator at a major department store which allows me to see and try some pretty cool and buzz-worthy brands in the fashion accessory realm.

No two women will have the same requirements for packing and preparing for their weekend overnight trip, but it safe to say, that if given the chance to choose an attractive and stylish overnight weekender tote, there's no reason she would not want to look her best. In my personal collection of weekender totes, I've got a few that I uses overnight bags, but they also double as “large handbags”. Since they’re not quite as large and bulky as the fuller sized totes, I sometimes use them for the whole entire week. When I was on my “Gym Kick” over the summer, I used to hit the gym during my lunch time at work. I packed my sneakers, leotards, and a “healthy lunch” Tupperware. That's a really lovely tote bag, I wonder where she got?” instead.

Basic Questions to Ask Yourself When Shopping for a Weeker Tote:

Try to estimate how much bag space you'll need for a one or two-nighter.
Does the bag need to be able to stowe under seat or overhead for airline flights?
How important are things like inner-bag capacity and easily accessible outer storage pockets?

Do you have favorite brands, labels, or collections? Are you more the mannered lady or wild chick?

How heavy will the filled tote bag be? Will it need wheels, or is a simple shoulder strap OK?

Do you plan on using it more frequently than just weekends? Will it be serving as an “everyday bag”?

The bag is available in the colors of indigo and café so the appearance is quite nice. This tote goes great with styles from summer linens to fall leathers.

Recommended for: Women who love Vintage, BoHo and Retro styles, and would rather get noticed for her bold , stand-out bag, than perhaps her hair and makeup.

One of the bolder and more "aggressive" weekender totes is the Frye’s Vintage Stud Duffel. This bag is one of the classic "new-vintage" handbags on the market today, I would assume be due to its superior quality features and dead-on vintage reproduction details. The material is made out of a heavy leather which provides lots of durability. As a result this bag will probably last you a very long time. This tote also comes with a 24 inch detachable shoulder strap so you can carry your bag in multiple ways. It's is a bit on the pricey side, but after owning it for about nine months I can honestly say it was worth every penny. In my opinion, Frye's are even better than Coach leather bags and totes.

Best For: Busy Moms with young kids that need to lug around baby supplies, toys, coloring books, snacks, or you name it. Spill and stain resistance for protection from those inevitable messes.

The Tumi Tote is probably not your everyday "go-to" tote, as you're going to want to use it out for those more noted occasions. Inside, this weekender tote has a sizable main compartment that can accommodate a laptop or iPad tablet with some room to spare. The Taylor Made Weekender Tote. Flashy and Splashy handbags are great and all, but sometimes a bag that's a bit more stoic and utilitarian might be called for. If you're not a golfer yourself, it's likely you may have heard the brand Taylor Made from your husband or boyfriend. Apparently, Taylor Made is the name when it comes to golf and golfing lifestyle products. The reason I chose to include this handbag on my website which is otherwise chock-full of fashion orientated tote bags is because I'm constantly borrowing my husbands same exact bag.
